Dear family and friends,
Okay, it has been a crazy movecall this week. I received a call on Saturday night from Pre.Blickenstaff telling me that I have been giving a new assignment to serve as Sister Training Leader in ZhongXin Zone (which include the Zhang Hua province and NanTou province)! So I've moved to Zhang Hua which is about 20 mins drive from Taizhung. My companion is sister Worthington from Orem Utah. She has been the STL in the zone for 2 movecalls now. I already can tell that I'll learn a lot from SIster Worthington. She just have this positive force in her. I am really excited but a little nerveous with this new responsibility. Being a STL means I will be going on exchanges with different sisters in the zone and just see if they are struggling in the field, support them and just love them. Sorry, for those who are not familiar with the term, it's a little like the zone leaders but just watching over the sisters in the zone.
After President called, the assistance called again to inform us that since there were shortage of the Sister missionaries in the mission right now, they think Daya ward is strong enough go without the sister missionaries for a little while until the mission get more sisters. So we are closing down Daya for sister missionaries. Sounds familiar? Yes, that happened last year about the same time that my companion and i had to close down Qi Shan (my 2nd area). Sister Grigg is moving to JiaYi to be a senior companion! I'm really excited for her because this is her first time being senior companion. It's kind of sad to have to leave but I know the Elders are great and our investigators, RC/LA are in good hands.
This week I learn something that I really love about God. So one of our new investigator believe in God but she wasn't sure if God is our Father in Heaven since God can also be or or a mum or being call differently in other religion. We had share Joseph Smith's vision and invited her to pray about it. During the week as I was studying I found a scripture that taught by Jesus Christ himself about God is our Heavenly Father in 3 Nephi 13:9 "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name." I shared with her the scripture and testified to her that because I know Book of Mormon is word of God so I know what it teaches the truth. We may called God differently but He wants us to address him as Father. Though she still needed to pray more about it I can see her heart was soften.
Well, I am also not a FB missionary anymore as some of you may notice on my mission FB. They said it will be too busy for sister training leader to be FB missionaries since we have to go on exchanges twice a week.
Anyway, I will have to spend more time in the area first before I can tell you more about my new area. It will also probably be my last area.
I hope all of you have a great week!
Love, SIster Ting
PS: Sorry might not have pcitures this week since my USB has virus and closes down the computer. Not good!
