Taiwan, Taichung mission: Week 36

hey everyone,

Sorry so this week i can only write a short email because I need to take some times to do my nursing registration before it due.
The biggest tender mercy that the Lord showed me this week is through the a family from Dou Liu. We have been visited them regularly when I was there to help the wife come back to church. When I left, she has a huge progress from not coming to church at all to coming to church activities. Today, they came to Taizhung to visit me and another elder who also help reactivate her. We have lunch together and she told me she came to the sacrament meeting last week. I know that it is another huge step for her that she can gather up her courage and came back to church. It really isn't easy to come back to church after left the church for 10 years. But she knows she knows better now her relationship with God is more important than people who offended her at church. Temple is the goal. To reach that goal, come back to church is the first step. And she did it! When I left Dou Liu, I felt a little bitter that I didn't really help anyone to make covenant with God (baptism), but knowing that the Lord sent me there to help her come closer to her, even just her, I know that the Lord has answered my prayer -- to help one soul to come unto Him, whether it is baptism or reactivate.

My favourite scripture of the week talking about Hope:
D&C 59:23
But learn that he who doeth thworks of righteousness shall receive his rewardeven peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come.

Yes, the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't just help us find peace in this life but also happiness with our family the next life, a better world.

Anyway, I need to run, sorry, I will write a better email next week.

Love you guys so much,
Sister Ting
